There are two ways to help:

1. General financial donation / Donation to the Foster Child Scholarship Fund

Your donation helps cover the costs of producing the event, such as venue rental, dinner, decorations and graduation gifts. This is the area of our greatest financial need. The cost per youth is approximately $200, including the cost of the meal and a duffle bag filled with household and school supplies, personal care items, and other necessities.  Your donation contributing to these costs is greatly appreciated.  Whether you can cover the cost of one duffle bag item or support the costs of one graduate, we know the Celebration of Dreams would not be the wonderful event it has been without you. Your willingness to help us celebrate these young people is the greatest contribution.

The foster child scholarship fund is designed to help foster youth with certain expenses related to post-secondary education or training. The fund focuses on costs that are not covered by other sources of financial aid. These expenses include books, other school supplies, fees and tuition shortfalls. Since 2001, the fund has awarded $29,000 to 44 students.

Financial and scholarship fund donations: Write your check to the Foster Child Enrichment Council, P.O. Box 18283, Cincinnati, OH 45218. In the memo portion of the check, please write Celebration of Dreams OR Foster Child Scholarship Fund.

2. Donation of gift certificates, household or personal care items

 
It is a Celebration of Dreams tradition to give each graduate a duffel bag stuffed with some of the basic items they need to start life on their own. Ideas are enclosed with this packet.
